The Nelson & District Riding Club originated in 1966. Since then our Club has grown immensely. We now have a wider range of activities and a facility equipped to accommodate most groundwork, riding and driving activities. Our Club hosts English and Western Clinics, Horse Shows, Roping nights, Gymkhana's, Driving Clinics and Shows, riding activities for Juniors, Children's Wish Foundation Fund-raising Trail Ride as well as activities for non-riders such as Dances, Potlucks and social events.

 

The NDRC grounds are located 15 minutes west of Nelson in Blewett. The grounds are open from May to October and include a large main arena, a dressage arena, a jump arena and a round pen. There are also 32 stalls and a concession. During the riding season the club hosts lessons, clinics and fun days. These events are always open and free to spectators. Come watch our members as they enjoy their horse related activities which include: driving, dressage, jumping, western riding, gymkhana & natural horsemanship.
